Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band?
Jimmy Hendrix playing guitar behind his head?
Live animation?
HAH!
Pale compared to this clip of the actual Bill Haley and his Comits
from this 1956 movie Rock Around The Clock which came out
not long after their song of the same title was a hit.
PLAY THE SLAP BASS BEHIND YOUR HEAD!
O.K., i don't know how much of the music they're actually playing, if any - maybe most - or all of it.
But, in any way, at a time when enterainment wasn't sure where it was going,
apparently, Rudy's Rock required a lot of live animation.
A little piece Rock-and-Roll's fledgling history:
a time when old farts weren't afraid to be daring.
